Junjou Drop - Final Chapter

The chapter opens with Akai giving Saki a hug while sitting on the park bench. Saki can't believe that after she gave him chocolates for Valentine's Day, in return he tells her "I love you". They pull apart. Saki blushes a little as Akai looks at her. She stutters as she asks him what was that just now. Akai tells her that it's his response. Saki stares back in shock while thinking that she and Akai now have mutual feelings for each other. At school, her friends are surprised and want to know if it's for real. Saki says that it is and wonders if Akai is a returnee from overseas since he didn't seem very Japanese (because he told her "I love you" in English). Her friends are confused by that statement but are happy for her. They tell her that she did well and her efforts paid off. Saki thanks them with a big smile. Suddenly the door opens and Akai walks in with an extremently mean look on his face. As he walks through the classroom, everyone shrinks away from him. Concerned, Saki asks him if something is wrong. He tells her that his older sister was admitted to the hospital. Saki is surprised so he explains that his sister was admitted early because she will be giving birth soon. He tells her that there doesn't appear to be any complications right now but... he's still worried. Saki tries to make him feel better by saying that his sister is healthy and will have a healthly baby. She continues to try and cheer him up by saying that to get ready for this day, he helped out his sister and did his best to take care of Kokona, so it will definitely turn out fine. Akai asks her if she really thinks that and she says that she does. She tells him that they should go shopping together to get a congratulatory gift because she wants to buy something for his sister. Akai replies that she is a really great person. He smiles and thanks her, saying that he feels calmer now. Saki smiles back. Saki notices two girls looking at them in shock. The girls mention that it's the first time they've seen Akai smile. Saki tells them that he's not scary and Ran-chan announces that he is Saki's boyfriend as of yesterday. The two girls are surprised. Saki says that he's not her boyfriend but Ran-chan asks if she's sure about that.

After school, Saki and Akai are walking together. She asks him if he's going to the preschool to pick up Kokona. He says that he is. Saki realizes that she left her cell phone back at the classroom, so she tells him to go ahead first. Akai says that it's fine and he will wait for her. Saki looks a little stunned. As she walks through the school, she wonders if he really is her boyfriend now and if it's okay for her to be his girlfriend. She stops and notices Aoyama lying on the ground in a steak costume (T/N: this guy is quite strange). She asks him if he's practicing to be a piece of meat but he tells her that he fell down and couldn't get back up. Saki helps him up and tells him that he's a good piece of meat. He agrees and says that he's sirloin. Then he tells her he heard rumors that she and Akai are going out. Saki blushes and says that she thinks they are. He tells her he's relieved because after her confession, he was a little concerned that he had hurt her. Saki tries to protest, but Aoyama continues to talk. He tells her that he's glad and that even though Akai looks scary, he's a good guy. Saki is surprised that Aoyama also thinks that, so he tells her that Akai has helped him many times (when he was in costume). The scene changes to Akai. He notices that a guy dropped his books and walks over to help him. The guy is a little flustered as Akai hands him the books. Switching back to Aoyama and Saki, Aoyama tells her soon everyone will notice that Akai is kind. Saki gives Aoyama a big smile and agrees. Saki asks Aoyama, calling him "Nikuyama", if things are going well with the person he likes. He corrects her and she apologizes and tells him that she's thinking about meat. He tells her that he confessed and got an okay. He said that he wasn't planning on it but got a push from Saki, so he thinks it was good that he received a confession from her. Suddenly a fierce-looking girl shouts at Aoyama to hurry up and stop goofing off. He apologizes to her. Then he leans over to Saki and whispers that girl is the person he likes. Saki is surprised. He tells Saki that he's going back to his club activities. Saki smiles as she watches them walk away, arguing, and wishes the best for Aoyama. She returns back to where Akai is waiting.

Saki, Akai, Masaki, and Kokona are walking together. Masaki is talking about the babies, twins, and that Kokona will have two sisters. Saki thinks to herself that now her rivals (for Akai's affection) have increased. Suddenly Sayama appears calling out to Akai, "aniki!!". Confused, Saki asks Akai if that's his younger brother. Akai says that it's not. Sayama introduces himself to Saki and says that he is Akai's disciple. Akai tells him that he didn't agree to take him on as his disciple but Sayama isn't discouraged. Sayama then asks Saki if everything went well and if she is Akai's girlfriend. Surprised, Saki doesn't know how to respond as she glances over at Akai. Akai wants to know if she's opposed to being introduced as his girlfriend. She responds that it's not the case at all. So Akai turns to Sayama and starts to introduce her as his girlfriend, but Sayama jumps in and interrupts, confirming that she is Akai's girlfriend. Masaki and Kokona are surprised and want to know when that happened. Sayama notices them and thinks that they are Saki and Akai's kids so they have to correct him. Sayama tells Akai that he's glad to run into them since he has something to give Akai... tickets to a live show. He wants both Akai and Saki to go. Sayama says that he's in a band and both Saki and Akai think that's cool and want to go see him perform. Sayama tells them that he will be waiting as he walks off. Saki says that they should go and he agrees. The kids pip up and ask if it's a date. Saki blushes as the kids continue to talk about the date. Akai tells them that it's fine to go on a date with his girlfriend. Saki gives him a big smile and thinks that it's great and she's happy. She bows and says, "please treat me well" and Akai responds back, "same here". The two kids tell them to get along well and both Saki and Akai look a little embarrassed. Saki thinks that she glad she met Akai and fell in love with him.

Saki and Akai are on their date. Saki remembers that they should buy a gift to celebrate the twins' birth, so they stop by a store to look at baby items. After shopping, they stop in at the live house. It's extremely noisy and Akai doesn't see Sayama yet. Saki can't remember what the name of Sayama's band is, so Akai tells her that it's, "Nyan Nyan". Then "Nyan Nyan Festival" appears on stage as girls dressed up with cat ears and tails. They tell the audience to dance along with them. Saki looks shocked and both she and Akai wonder if that is Sayama's band. Afterwards, Sayama is thrilled to see Akai and Saki. Akai tells him that he was kind of surprised and Saki says that it was amazing. Sayama says that it's really embarrassing but that he's glad that Akai was able to see him perform because the group is disbanding. Akai wants to know why. Sayama responds that it's disgusting, but Saki disagrees. She thought it was fun. Sayama says that hardly anyone has said that and all they do is bring down the crowd. Akai asks him if he doesn't want to perform. Sayama is confused by Akai's question, so Akai asks him again if he likes to perform. Sayama replies back that of course he does. Dancing is really fun and he loves doing the choreography. Akai says that Sayama looked like he was having fun and that he could tell just by watching him that Sayama likes performing. Akai goes on to say that Sayama shined brightly on stage and that's something only he can do. Akai encourages him to keep performing and someday, everyone will notice. Sayama is moved and starts to tear up. Embarrassed, Akai feels that maybe he said too much, but Sayama happily thanks him. Sayama says that he actually wanted to continue performing but no one told him that he should. Now he has the courage to go on. Akai tells him that he's glad while Saki smiles. Sayama says that he will do his best and Akai tells him to try hard and he will come and watch Sayama perform again. Saki thinks that Akai is a person who makes everyone happy. It's the end of their date and Akai drops Saki off at her house. She thanks him for the date and tells him that it was fun. He agrees and says that he will see her at school. She gives him a big smile and waves goodbye while thinking that he's a very kind person.

At school the next day, a guy approaches Akai. Akai looks up from his desk wondering what he wants. The guy thanks Akai for helping him with his books the other day and says that he was concerned since he hadn't thanked Akai yet. Akai tells him that it's nothing to worry about. The guy continues talking to Akai, telling him that he really thinks Akai's blond hair looks cool. Akai thanks him and says that he dyed it blond because Kokona told him to do it. The guy is confused about who Kokona is, so Akai says that he will show him a picture. Saki, watching the two of them talk, thinks that even though Akai looks a little scary and is a bit of a Lolicon* (*someone who’s interested in little girls)... she doesn't finish her thought though because Akai receives a message on his phone and starts crying. The other guy is shocked and doesn't know what to do. Akai looks up at Saki, calling her name. Saki is worried and asks him what's wrong. He tries to answer, but only says "B..". "B?", asks Saki. With tears streaming down his face, he shows her his phone. There's a picture of the twins. He tells her that they're born, twin girls!! Saki congratulates him and he thanks her. The other guy also congratulates him and Akai grabs his hands and tells him thanks. Saki says, "Happy birthday!!" as their classmates clap. Akai rubs his eyes, looking a little embarrassed. He's the guy I love, thinks Saki with a big smile.

At the park, Masaki and Kokona announce that they will be getting married. Both Saki and Akai are stunned and want to know what are they talking about. Masaki says that they just decided it a little while ago. Kokona says "yeah" and gives Masaki a promise kiss on the cheek. Akai is shocked and shouts her name, wanting to know what is she doing. Masaki tells Akai that since Saki is now his girlfriend, it's okay. right. With a disgruntled look, Akai struggles to reply back and then slumps down, saying reluctantly that it's fine. Masaki turns to Saki and asks about her promise kiss. Saki says, "huh?" Masaki tells her the promise kiss for Akai. Blushing, Saki replies that she hasn't done that and what's he saying. So Kokona says that she will give Akai a promise kiss and kisses him on the cheek. Saki is shocked and can't say anything. Akai looks over at Kokona, blushing, while Kokona giggles. Jealous, Saki has a determined look on her face. She leans over and gives Akai a kiss on his other cheek. Akai looks over at her with a stunned expression on his face, while Saki gives him an embarrassed smile. Both Saki and Akai's faces are completely red. Laughing, Masaki tells them that Akai's face is red and Kokona says that Saki's is too. The story ends with Saki hoping that they will be together always.

Junjou Drop - Chapter 3

Maximum throbbing, love is not-stop!!

Already enamored with a guy who's the most clueless!!

A white paper about the uneasiness of teenage love.

Junjou Drop - Chapter 3
The chapter opens with Kokona showing Akai two drawings, one of herself and one of Akai. She asks Akai to draw something too. He tells her that he's bad at drawing but she doesn't mind. Akai seems thoughtful and ends up drawing a picture of a girl's face. Kokona recognizes the drawing and says that it's Masaki's sister, Saki. Akai appears a little surprised that Kokona got it right. Kokona smiles at him and says she heard that Saki told him that she likes him. Kokona's mom happens to overhear that as she walks by and is shocked. Kokona's mom asks Akai if that's really true and he replies, "...yeah." She wants to know what his response was. He says that he told Saki he understood. Kokona's mom is confused by that answer, so he explains that it's because Saki asked him not to forget. Kokona's mom wants to know what else he said and Akai is confused by that. She then asks him if he's an idiot. Surprised, Kokona questions if Akai really is an idiot as Akai looks perturbed. Walking to school, Akai wonders if he is an idiot. Saki is talking to her friends when she notices him. She gives him a big smile and tells him good morning. He responds back. Her friends watch the two of them interact and wonder what's going on, are they dating? Saki tells them that isn't the case. Right now she's fine with the fact that he knows she likes him and she will try her best to get him to like her. Meanwhile, Akai thinks to himself that it would be best if he could give some kind of answer back to Saki.

Saki and Akai are sitting on the park bench. Masaki asks for a piece of candy and Saki gets one for him. She asks if Kokona want one too, which Kokona does. While Akai is thinking about what kind of answer to give her, Saki turns to him and asks if he also wants candy. He does, so she hands him a piece. He thinks that until now, he has never been liked by a girl and has never been given candy either. He's not sure what to do in this current situation. He puts the candy into his mouth, chews it, and then makes a sour face. Both Saki and Akai look at each other and say "sour". The candy is lemon-flavored. Akai doesn't know what to do but he knows that it's not about having sour faces together. At school, Akai is standing near a vase of flowers. He looks over as the door opens and it's Saki who exclaims that he showed up early for school today. He asks if those are flowers from her family's shop and she concurs. She just changed out the flowers and came back with a napkin to wipe the water that had spilled. As she wipes the water, she accidently bumps the vase and it starts to wobble. Both Saki and Akai look startled. They both grab for the vase and end up touching hands. Saki blushes and apologizes. Akai tells her that it's fine. He remembers that the first time he talked to Saki was also in the classroom during the morning. He recalls Saki bumping into and spilling water all over him. He watches as Aoyama walks by with friends and thinks about how Saki fell in love with Aoyama's good character. He then wonders if choosing him next is a good thing and what made her decide on him.
Akai stops walking and notices that a guy is getting harrassed by two other guys. The guy looks frightened and keeps apologizing to the other guys. Akai tells one of the mean guys that the other guy apologized already so isn't it enough. The mean guy shouts back that the other guy stepped on his foot and it really hurts. The scared guy apologizes again. The mean guy wants to know who Akai is. With a scary face, Akai tell him his name. The two mean guys are frightened and run off. The scared guy is dazzled and calls out to Akai, "aniki, aniki" (slang for big brother). Akai responds that he's not his big brother. The guy says it's a spirit/mind thing and he asks Akai if it's alright to call him that. He profusely thanks Akai for saving him. He tells Akai to let him know if there's anything that he can do to help. Akai tells him that he does have something to ask. They go to the roof to talk. The guy tells Akai that he's popular, getting a confession. Akai says that he's not and he's troubled about how to respond. The guy asks if Akai likes Saki but Akai isn't sure what to say. The guy tells Akai it's not good for a guy to be puzzled and he should just say, "I love you!" and give her a big hug. With his arms crossed, Akai looks thoughtful as he thinks "I love you, huh." He sees Saki talking to classmates, smiling, and helping others out. He feels that Saki is a good person. He overhears a girl asking Saki if she used to by a delinquent. Saki laughs and says, "yes" but the girl doesn't believe her. Akai knows that because of him, strange rumors like that were said about her, but it doesn't bother her. Back in the classroom, it's English lesson. As the class drones on, Saki starts to look a little sleepy. Then all of a sudden, she nods off and hits her head on the desk. Startled, she sits up with a gasp. The teacher smirks at her and tells her, good morning. Embarrassed, Saki touches her head and giggles. She then turns her head, sees Akai looking at her, and is mortified. Akai thinks that Saki is also very interesting.

Saki and Akai are sitting on the park bench again. Saki is covering her face and saying that she's so embarrassed. Akai tells her not to worry about it. Saki replies back that she's worried about showing something like that in front of the person she loves. She gasps and realizes that she just said "the person I love". She hangs her head in embarrassment. Akai is speechless at first but then asks her why she says that about him. Saki looks surprised. She explains that she's slow, simple, and has no merits, and she doesn't really like herself that way so she's been wanting to change. So she boldly confessed to Aoyama, only to be rejected. At that time, if Akai hadn't encouraged her, she feels that she would have lost more confidence in herself and would have hated herself more. But thanks to him, she started to fall in love with him and because she could tell him properly, she's now starting to like herself. Saki smiles as she tells Akai that because of him, she was able to change and that's why she loves him. Akai remains silently as he looks at her, so Saki gets a little flustered and says, "...I guess", "Uh...", and "Ha ha". Akai starts to say her name, but Saki jumps up, tells him that she's going to play with the kids, and dashes off. Akai watches her and thinks that he really didn't do anything special, but he also realizes that Saki really is happy being with him.

At school, Sayama (the guy who Akai saved) calls out "Aniki!" to Akai. Akai reminds Sayama that he is not Sayama's big brother. Sayama wants to know if things are going well with Saki. He asks Akai if he told her "I love you!" and hugged her yet. Akai responds that he hasn't yet, but he knows the reason why she loves him and it was very appreciated. Sayama thinks that Akai is unexpectedly earnest. Akai wonders about the words, "I love you." There was a girl who he was kind of interested in, but he made her cry just by looking at her. He turns and stares at Saki. She notices and gives him a big smile. He continues thinking about the words, "I love you." as they walk together to pick up the kids. At the preschool, Kokona has tears in her eyes and looks very upset. Akai asks her what's wrong and the teacher answers that she got into an argument with a friend. Kokona cries out that Mari-chan wouldn't lend her a picture book. Akai then asks what does she want to do about the park and Kokona shouts that she just wants to go home. Masaki is surprised. Saki tells him to just endure it for today. Saki and Masaki tell Kokona goodbye, but Kokona is too upset to respond. Akai, carrying Kokona, looks over at them and apologizes. Saki smiles and tells him, "It's okay, see you tomorrow." Masaki is a little upset. As Saki and Masaki walk home, Saki mentions that it's unusual to see Kokona crying since she's always so happy. Then Saki's phone rings. It's her mom asking if Saki can buy shoyu. Saki tells her that they will pick it up and return home soon. Akai, still carrying Kokona, suggests that they go and buy some ice cream, but Kokona doesn't want any. Kokona has her head on Akai's shoulder and looks glum. Akai thinks that the words "I love you" and Kokona being an angel are not the same. He realizes that it's not the time to be thinking about that.

Suddenly he hears someone running towards them. It's Saki and she looks frantic. When he asks her what's wrong, she wants to know if he's seen Masaki. He hasn't and wonders where Masaki went. Saki says that Masaki disappeared while she was talking on the phone. Akai asks if Masaki went home already but Saki says that he didn't because she called their house. Akai asks about the park, but Saki says that he didn't go there either. Worried, Saki starts to cry and wonders what to do. Akai tells her to remain calm because Masaki couldn't have gone that far yet. He puts Kokona down and says that he will help search. Kokona says that she will too. They call Masaki's name, but no answer. They can't find him anywhere. Saki sighs and starts to cry. Akai looks concerned and begins to reach out to comfort her. But then, suddenly Masaki appears and is happy to see Kokona. Saki shouts his name. Confused, Masaki replies, "Yes, that's me. My name is Masaki." Saki angrily tries to ask him where he went, but Masaki turns to Kokona and gives her a flower. Kokona is happy to receive it. Akai squats down to ask Masaki what he was doing because Saki was really worried about him. Masaki answers that he was looking for a flower. He says that he thought about giving one to Kokona since she was crying. Saki thumps him on the head and yells at him that he should have told her about it first. Masaki replied that she was on the phone though. Saki shouts back that they could have gone home to get flowers (they own a flower shop) after she was done talking. Shocked, Masaki realizes that they have a lot of flowers at home. Saki calls him an idiot a few times as she calls home. Masaki looks up at her with tears in his eyes. He turns to Akai and explains that he was just trying to make Kokona happy since she was crying. He says that when they gave her flowers on her birthday, she was so happy so he wanted to make her smile again. Akai pats Masaki on the head and thanks him. Akai tells Masaki that Saki is just upset because she's worried and Masaki didn't do anything wrong. Masaki asks him if that's really true and Akai replies that it's Masaki's "I love you", so cherish it (T/N: he probably means that Saki is so upset because she loves Masaki). Masaki wants to know what is "I love you". Akai replies that he really doesn't know either but... just now he feels that he's starting to understand a little, as he looks over at Saki who's talking on the phone.

Sitting on the park bench, Saki looks down in embarrassment and apologizes for Masaki causing such a fuss. Akai tells her it's okay and that Masaki is a good kid. Saki says no and that she also really caused a fuss. Akai says "Not really...". Then Saki exclaims, "Oh...." and startles Akai. She rummages through her bag, saying that it's just the right time even though it wasn't a good thing that happened earlier. Akai wants to know what's going on so suddenly. She pulls out a decorative sack and tells him that today is Valentine's Day so she hopes he will accept it. Surprised, Akai says, "chocolate." He looks at her and asks if it's okay to receive it. Embarrassed she says that if he's not opposed to it... He tells her that he accepts and thanks her. Saki asks if he likes sweet things and he says that he likes them better than sour things. Saki laughs and says "that's good". Akai looks over at her. He thinks that towards the person who's always by his side smiling for him, he wants to protect her happy face. He reaches out and grabs Saki, giving her a big hug. Saki is stunned. Akai feels that's his "I love you" and he tells her, "I love you" as Saki thinks, "What!!?"

Non-stop palpitations!!

Focusing on the difficult problem of capturing a guy, right now it's the study of love!!

Chapter 2

The chapter opens with Saki and her two friends eating at a fast food place. Ran-chan asks Saki if she and Akai walked home together on Christmas night and nothing else happened? Saki smiles and says, "Yeah." She thinks back to that day. Akai walked her home and then her mom greeted them at the door, looking flustered and wondering if he was Saki's boyfriend. Saki denied it and told her mom to calm down. Akai introduced himself as her classmate and explained that they had met by chance and he walked her home because it was late. He also said that his niece, Kokona, is friends with Masaki, Saki's brother. Her mom knows about Kokona and that Kokona's mom is pregnant. Akai said that Kokona's mom will be giving birth soon, and Saki's mom asks if the baby is going to be a boy or girl. Saki, embarrassed by her mom's question, apologized to Akai about her mom's chattiness. He didn't mind and was glad to meet her mom. Saki's mom whispered to her that he's a really good guy despite his scary look. Saki smiled as she watched him leave. Back to the present, Ran-chan tells Saki that she thought Saki would hurriedly confess to Akai after they were left alone together. Saki is suprised by that. Ran-chan's thinks that Saki was going confess like she did with Aoyama, but Saki doesn't feel she can act like that often. Saki smiles and says that she's not worried about confessing. She doesn't see Akai for the rest of winter break.

It's the start of the third semester. Saki sees Akai and tells him good morning. He greets her back. She thanks him for Christmas and says that her friends are also grateful. Akai responds that he really didn't do anything. Saki smiles and thinks that even like this, she's relatively happy. The chalkboard in their classroom shows the new seating chart. Aoyama notices Saki and says that he's going to be sitting next to her. He smiles and asks her to take care of him. She smiles back and tells him, likewise. She's thinking that confessing doesn't always turn out well, so if she can just be near Akai and get a little closer, then it's fine like that.

At the preschool, Masaki tells Kokona that Saki came home together with Akai. Kokona wonders if Saki is now Akai's girlfriend but Masaki doesn't know. When Saki shows up, Kokona greets her and asks Saki if she likes Ryuu-chan (Akai). Surprised, Saki blushes and says, "what?" Saki's heart is thumping as she asks why Kokona suddenly asked that question. Kokona asks if Saki is Akai's girlfriend and Saki tells her that's not true. So then Kokona asks if Saki hates Akai. Saki squats down and tells her that she doesn't hate Akai. "So, you like him then?", asks Kokona. Saki smiles and answers, "I like him." "Are you going to be his girlfriend?", asks Kokona. "Umm... after Ryuu-chan starts to like me then...", Saki tells her with a big smile. Kokona understands and replies that Ryuu-chan loves Kokona, though. Saki smiles and agrees that it's a problem. Masaki looks past Saki and sees Akai. Masaki happily tells Akai that Saki likes him and Akai is surprised. Masaki then tells him that Saki wants to be his girlfriend, as Saki freezes in horror. Blushing furiously, Saki stands up, covers Masaki's mouth, and tells him to stop. Saki tries to explain to Akai by saying that's wrong. "That's wrong?", asks Kokona. Saki stammers back that it's not really wrong but... Then Masaki pries open her hands and tells Akai that Saki likes him. Masaki and Kokona happily walk off to go play in the park.

Akai stands silently, looking at Saki. Saki, blushing and sweating, tries to speak. They both stand there, looking at each other as Masaki calls out to them to hurry up. Saki and Akai end up sitting on the park bench, not talking. Saki is mortified and wants someone to save her. She worries that Akai isn't saying anything and her heart thumps wildly. When Akai glances over at her and starts to say her name, Saki jumps up and tells him not to worry about it. She explains that Kokona asked her about it, so she had to respond but she's not expecting an answer from him. She tells him not to ask about it and to forget it. Akai says that he understands as Saki looks relieved. They're both silent for a moment, and then the kids ask Akai to play with them. He gets up and Saki knows that she caused this separation. She wonders why it's become like this.

At school, Saki's friends are surprised at what she told them. Ran-chan is scolding her about telling Akai to forget about it. Saki looks depressed and admits that she was scared. She remembers how she felt when she was rejected by Aoyama and doesn't want to feel that sad again. It's lunchtime and the line to buy food is long. Akai asks her what she wants so he can get it for her. Surprised, Saki tells him that she wants a melon bread. He walks through the crowd (as they all back away), and Saki watches him go. Akai returns with the bread and gives it to her. She thanks him. Akai tells her that Kokona is sick with a fever today, so she's not at the preschool. Saki is surprised and wonders if it's the flu. She heard that it was spreading around the preschool. Akai isn't sure but Kokona is getting examined at the hospital. He explains to Saki that's the reason why he won't stopping by the preschool and park, and it's not because he's trying to avoid her. Saki blushes a little and then gives him a big smile and says that she understands. As she eats her bread, Saki thinks that Akai is such an honest guy. Her friends tell her that she should confess to Akai again. She already messed up once, so she needs to clearly convey her feelings. It's good timing since it's almost Valentine's Day. Saki knows that she told Akai to forget about it because she was scared. She wonders what Akai thinks of her.

Masaki tells Saki that Kokona has a cold. It's not the flu. He wants to visit Kokona. Kokona likes tangerines, so if she eats them, she will get better. Saki smiles and tells him they should bring some for her. Still thinking about Akai, she feels that if Akai thinks she's even a little special, she will be happy. Saki and Masaki stop at a neigborhood store to buy tangerines. As they are walking, they see Akai. Masaki calls out to him, and Akai stops when he see them. Saki asks him how Kokona is doing. Masaki tells him that they are planning to go over and visit Kokona. Akai says that Kokona is sleeping and Masaki is disappointed. Akai is on an errand to get her tangerines, so Saki and Masaki happily hold up their bag of tangerines.

Saki and Akai are sitting on the park bench, while Masaki is playing. Akai thanks her and says that he will deliver the tangerines himself because he doesn't want to pass on Kokona's cold. They sit silently for a moment while Saki thinks that it's awkward. Akai speaks first and tells Saki that Kokona is his angel. Saki looks back at him with a blank look and wonders what he's saying all of sudden. Akai explains that taking care of Kokona brought back old memories. Ever since he was little, his appearance was bad. He's made a lot of girls cry, so he's not really good with them. But Kokona is different. From the time she was a baby, she was attached to him. That kind of girl, it has only been Kokona... Saki looks shocked as she thinks that Akai is serious about Kokona and he's trying to dump her in a roundabout way. Akai snaps out of it and says that he got off track. He mentions that he made Saki cry at first, too. Surprised, Saki says that was different and she didn't cry because she was scared of him. Akai goes on to say that also because of him, she was called a former delinquent. He thought that he would be hated again, but that wasn't the case. It's his first time being seen favorably by a girl, so he's happy and thanks her. Saki stares at him and tries to speak. Then, Akai remembers that she told him to forget it and apologizes. Saki tries to explain but nothing comes out. She tells him, "You're welcome." He says that he's doing his best to forget so she shouldn't worry about it. He stands up, telling her thanks for the tangerines and that he's going off to deliver them. Saki is flabbergasted as she tries to stop him. He walks off and she tells him, "You're welcome." She stands there thinking about their conversation and wondering what he meant when he said that he was happy to hear that she liked him. What that an answer? But he said that he will forget about it. What does it mean? What should she do?

At school, Saki's friends tell her that it's her fault for making that strange comment and confusing things. Saki looks depressed. They wonder if she got an "okay", but she doesn't know. Saki and Akai see each other in hall and stop. They tell each other "good morning" while her friends say, "how normal". Saki thinks that it would have been better not to have said anything at all and sighs. Masaki asks her what's wrong, while Kokona thanks her for the tangerines. Saki smiles at Kokona and tells her that she's glad Kokona is doing better. Kokona says that Ryuu-chan told her that Saki is a good person. Saki pauses in surprise before asking, "really?" Kokona tells her that it's the first time that Ryuu-chan has talked about a girl. Kokona gives her a big smile and says that's why Saki will become Ryuu-chan's girlfriend and she should do her best. Saki looks at Kokona and thinks "angel". She imagines seeing wings on Kokona's back. Masaki sees Akai and calls out to him. Masaki starts to ask if Akai likes Saki, but Saki stops him. Saki and Akai are sitting together, silently. Saki breaks the silence and says that Kokona really is an angel. Akai looks over at her, surprised that she thinks so too. Saki tells him that she saw wings on Kokona and Akai replies that he always sees them. Saki thinks that telling the person she likes how she feels is scary but since an angel is cheering her on, she will do her best once more. This time, she will clearly say it. Saki gathers her courage and calls out to Akai. "Akai-kun! I like you." Akai looks at her as she tells him that this time she doesn't want him to forget. As she blushes, he continues to look at her and says, "I understand."

A little bit strange? A little bit sentimental? The beginning of a heart-pounding love!

Chapter 1: A white paper about the uneasiness of teenage love.

The chapter starts with an introduction. Momota Saki, age 15, first year high school student, recently found someone who's interesting. At school, as everyone steps away from him, Saki calls out to Akai and tells him "good morning". Akai is in the same class at Saki. His full name is Akai Ryuuichi. He is the called "The Demon Akai" because of his sharp gaze and evil aura that oozes out of him. There's even a rumor that says if you look at him, a beam will shoot from his eyes, destroying the roots of your hair. He's someone that everyone avoids. Saki comments that it's cold and Akai responds that he doesn't care for winter because of the high likelihood of Kokona catching a cold or the flu from all the germs. Kokona is the Akai's niece whom he dotes on. In the classroom, her classmates are impressed that Saki can talk to Akai with no problem. They are scared of him. Saki thinks that everyone has the wrong impression of Akai and that he's not scary at all.

As she leaves school with her friends, they ask her if she's going to pick up her younger brother from preschool. They think it's a lot of trouble. Saki smiles and tells them that it really isn't and lately it's been fun. Her friends look dubious. Saki's brother, Masaki, greets her happily. He shows her a picture that he drew in class. She exclaims that it's great and asks if it's a dinosaur. He replies that it's curry and asks if she's looking at it closely enough. Saki then turns and sees Akai. She smiles at him and tells him that he's earlier than normal. Kokona greets Akai and gives him the picture that she drew. She tells him that the teacher told them to draw something that they really liked, so she drew him. Akai stares at the picture and then starts to cry a little. Concerned, Kokona asks him what's wrong. He says that it's nothing and he will treasure the picture. Saki looks over at him and thinks that the real Akai is the one who always comes to pick up his niece in place of his sister and that he's a gentle "Lolicon". He also was the one who gave her lots of gentle encouragement after she was rejected. Akai walks off carrying Kokona on his shoulders and holding Masaki's hand. As she watches them, Saki thinks "he's such a kind person."

At school, one of her friends asks her if she likes Akai. Saki wonders if she likes him or not. She's not sure yet. The other friend tells her that she should be careful of her hair roots, otherwise she might go bald. Saki firmly rejects that statement. They tell her that there are rumors of her being a former yankee (*juvenile delinquent) because she's been hanging out with Akai so much. Saki is shocked but thinks that it's kind of cool. Her friends tell her that they didn't think she would get over her failed love by turning to Akai and that her tastes in guys have changed. They mention something about the guy she used to like, Aoyama, standing in the school grounds dressed as a squid for the drama club, trying his best. Her friends' names are Midorigawa Ran (Ran-chan) and Shigaki Fuuko (Fuu-san). Both of them tell her that they are opposed to Akai. Then they switch topics and try to figure out what to do for Christmas. They decide to have a party at a karaoke place.

Saki is taking out the trash and thinking that everyone is mean. Akai is a good guy and she doesn't know how to make them understand that. She drops the trash can and the trash spills out. Akai happens to be walking by and asks if she's okay. He helps her pick up the trash and then carries the trash can for her. She tells him not to worry about it but he says that it's a guy's job anyway. She thanks him, thinking that he's a really nice guy. She wants to know what he decided to get Kokona for Christmas. Kokona wanted a stuffed animal, so Akai is relieved that it was an easy request. Saki then asks if he wants to have a Christmas party with Kokona. Akai tell her that Kokona goes on a trip with her family during Christmas and then asks what Saki plans to do. She replies that she and her friends have talked about having a party. She asks about Akai's plans. He says that he's working in order to give otoshidama (*money given out at New Year's) to Kokona. Saki is relieved that Akai doesn't seem to have any other girl, other than Kokona. She notices that two guys are looking over and whispering about them. The guys are talking about Saki being a former yankee and that she was seen with a little kid (her brother), so maybe she's a teenage mother. The two guys notice that she saw them and wonder if they were overheard talking about her. Akai gives them a mean glare and they run off as Saki stares at them. Saki wonders if it was her power of observation that scared them off, while Akai looks over at her. Saki turns and notices that Akai has walked off. She tells him to wait up as he looks thoughtful.

After school, her friends tell her that they made karaoke reservations. They're going to bring in their own food. Akai calls out to Saki. Her friends look upset as he approaches her and tells her that he wants to talk to her. Saki tells him that they can talk at the park. Her friends glare at her, wondering why they plan to talk and if Akai somehow is exploiting her weakness. Saki gets a little frustrated with them but understands why they are concerned since she used to think the same way about Akai. At the park, Akai wants to know if Saki was a former yankee which surprises Saki. Akai says that there's a rumor going around school about that and if it isn't true, she should correct it. Saki says that it's fine because normally she doesn't get teased and being a former yankee is kind of cool. Akai tells her that it's not good and that if him being around her caused this to happen, then they should stop hanging out together. He will ignore her at school and stop taking Kokona to the park. Saki looks at him in surprise. Akai stands up and tells Kokona that they're going home. Kokona and Masaki want to play some more but Akai tells them sorry and he has things to do. Saki is speechless. She stands up and starts to tell him that it really doesn't matter to her, but he cuts her off and says that even if it's okay with her, it's not okay with him. "Don't be a nuisance to anyone" is an Akai family rule. He tells her "so long" as he walks away with Kokona, leaving Saki standing there stunned.

At school, Saki is determined to continue talking with Akai, so she firmly tells him "good morning." He turns and stares at her. She again tells him "good morning!" and calls his name as he walks away. Ran-chan pulls her back, asking her what is she doing. Fuu-san tells her that if she continues to get mixed up with a yankee, she will become one. Saki looks down, upset, and thinks that anyone who says that they don't want to be a nuisance to others is not a yankee. The days in December pass by. The scene changes to Christmas night and Ran-chan and Fuu-san tell Saki "Merry Christmas" when they meet up with her. Saki thanks them half-heartedly, looking glum. Saki sadly thinks that she hasn't spoken to Akai since and hasn't seen him at the preschool because of the break. Then Saki notices that the guy dressed as Santa standing in front of the karaoke place looks like Akai (she can tell by the eyes). The Santa guy tells her no, but she asks him if this is where he's working part-time. Ran-chan holds back a laugh as Fuu-san punches her in the arm. Ran-chan apologizes and tells Akai that it suits him well, while Fuu-san is now trying not to laugh. Akai gives Saki a 10% off coupon and she thanks him. They both look at each other. Saki tells him that it suits him and he thanks her, while both Ran-chan and Fuu-san turn their backs and try not to laugh. It's been so long since Saki spoke to Akai. In the karaoke room, her two friends are laughing their heads off as Saki chastises them for laughing too much. They tell her that they saw a good thing. Saki asks them if they've changed their minds a little about Akai and they tell her just a little. Ten points higher on the interesting scale, according to Fuu-san. Saki says it's fine if they think that he's an interesting character. Saki thinks about how Akai looked in the Santa suit and starts shaking. When her friends ask what's wrong, she says that she just realized how funny it really is. They all laugh together. Saki thinks that it doesn't matter what other people think, she wants to be with Akai more and get to know him better... because she thinks of Akai...

The girls leave the karaoke place and Saki notices that Akai isn't around. He may be walking around, trying to get customers. Three dubious looking guys approach the girls and ask them why they are by themselves on Christmas. The guys say that if the girls are free, they should all hang out together. Ran-chan looks mad and tells them, no thanks. She tells the other two that they should go, but one of the guys grabs her arm and tells her that they should just talk for a bit. Saki is worried about Ran-chan, so she yells at the guy to stop. She smirks and says that she's a former yankee. Everyone pauses to look at her. Then Ran-chan whacks her on the head and says "what are you saying?" The guys want to go over to another place and won't let go of Ran-chan. Fuu-chan notices that even though there are three girls, only one of them is being targeted. Suddenly Akai is there. He tells the guy to let go of Ran-chan. Saki stares at him. The other guy tells Akai that he's getting in the way, but Akai tells him that they're the ones causing problems. The guy pulls off the Santa mustache and beard, saying "let me see your face!" Akai glares at him and the guy backs away in shock. Akai tells them that they can have fun at Christmas without having to pick up girls and they should give up and leave. The guy tells Akai that he's not afraid of him, even with that kind of face and tries to punch him. Akai blocks his punch. The guy tries to get Akai to fight back, but Akai says that he doesn't fight and that it hurts to hit someone. A policeman stops by and asks if everything's okay. The three guys leave quickly. Ran-chan is surprised that it almost turned into a brawl. Akai tells the girls that even though he has a yankee face, he wouldn't fight and has never fought. The girls are a little surprised by that and Saki continues to stare at him. Ran-chan apologizes for interrupting him during work. Akai responds that it's okay and he's glad nothing came of it. As he turns to go, Saki stops him and tells him "thanks!" Akai gives her a little smile and she blushes. He walks away. Saki's friends say that actually he seems to be a decent guy, so Saki tells them, "see, I told you so!" They tell her that they will support her and to do her best. Saki smiles widely and says "okay!"

Akai leaves the karaoke place and notices that Saki is standing in the cold, waiting for him. She thanks him for his hard work, as he wonders what she is doing there and if she's cold. Saki tells him that she's fine and she was waiting for him to get done. She doesn't think he's a nuisance and wants to know if it's okay if they walk home together. Akai looks serious and then turns away as Saki watches him. He walks over to a vending machine and gets a can of hot tea. He gives her the can, telling her to hold on to it since her hands are cold. Saki looks at him in surprise. He starts to walk off and then turns back to her and says, "let's go home..." Saki gives him a big smile and says, "okay!" as she catches up to him. The chapter ends with Saki thinking that at 15 years old, she's found a person she likes.

Junjou Drop - Extra [ch 00]

The timing of love and that person is... unpredictable and unexpected.

The scene starts with Saki confessing to Aoyama in the classroom. It's her first ever confession. Aoyama tells her that he's sorry but he already has someone that he likes. Saki stands there with a smile pasted on her face and thinks to herself that she got rejected first thing in the morning, but it was her fault since she also confessed first thing in morning. She then tells Aoyama not to worry about it. She turns away and says that she's going to change out the water for the flowers. Aoyama tries to warn her that there is someone in front of her, but it's too late. She bumps into the guy and splashes water from the vase onto his face. The guy who got splashed with water is Akai Ryuuichi. Saki looks absolutely terrified as she thinks to herself that Ryuuichi is called the "The Demon Akai" by everyone because of his sharp gaze and evil aura that oozes out of him. She’s heard rumors about how people don't return home alive if they get within one meter of him. He’s someone that everyone avoids. Noticing that she is only 50 centimeters away from him, Saki can't stop shaking as she squeaks an apology. Then the morning bell sounds. Saki is sitting in the classroom, looking stunned as she thinks that this is the worst day of her life and that she is cursed. Akai is wearing his gym clothes in class. The teacher notices and asks him where his uniform is. Akai responds that he forgot it, while Saki looks down at her book, terrified. She wants to transfer to another high school as quickly as possible.

Saki and two friends are by the shoe lockers. One girl tells her that she has to be careful that Akai won't kidnap her, and the other girl says she heard that if you make Akai mad, he will shoot a beam from his eyes and if it hits you, you will lose your hair. Saki nervously wonders what she should do since she definitely made him mad and he looked like a demon (although that's his usual face). Her friends switch topics quickly and ask about her confession and Aoyama's rejection. Saki sheepishly replies that it kind of just happened. Her friends suggest that they stop somewhere on the way home so they can talk about it more, but Saki says that she can't since she has to pick up her younger brother at preschool. As she turns to go, she notices Akai standing by the wall, staring at her. Saki freezes and wonders if he overheard her talking to her friends and calling him a demon. She rushes off, telling her friends that she will text them later. She then wonders if Akai also saw her get rejected that morning. She worries that he may try to threaten her and imagines him extorting money from her (5,000,000 yen). She tells herself that she will try not to let it bother her.

At the preschool Saki's brother, Masaki, is standing next to a cute little girl in pigtails. Masaki happily greets Saki. Saki apologizes to him about being late and he tells her that it's okay because he was playing with Kokona, the little girl in pigtails. Kokona says hello to Saki. Saki asks her if she's waiting to be picked up, and Kokona replies that Ryuu-chan is picking her up because her mom can't make it. Saki wonders who Ryuu-chan is. Kokona points and says, "Ah! Ryuu-chan!" as Saki turns to look. It's Akai Ryuuichi! He says, "Hey", with a serious look. Saki is shocked. She quickly bows her head and tells Akai that she's sorry about today and thanks him for Kokona always playing with Masaki. Akai replies that Kokona is his older sister's child, and since she couldn't pick up Kokona, he stepped in. Kokona tells Akai that she wants to stop by the park and play with Masaki on the way home. Akai tells her just for a little bit. Akai starts to walk off with Kokona and Masaki, who are excited to go and play in the park. Saki sputters to Makasi to wait a minute. Akai turns back and says to Saki that it’s good timing because he wants to talk to her. Saki gulps.

At the park, Saki is sitting awkwardly next to Akai and screaming "help me!" in her mind while the two kids play. Saki squeaks out that she doesn’t have any money, and Akai replies that he wouldn’t take any. He tells her that he may look like a demon, but he won’t blackmail her. Shocked, Saki thinks "he heard us!" Akai goes on to say that what he wanted to talk to her about was Kokona. Next week is Kokona’s birthday and he asks Saki what would be a good present to get her. Saki looks over at him in surprise. Akai names a few things and then says that he doesn’t really know what preschoolers like. Saki thinks that if he knows about those kinds of things, it’s more than enough. Akai tells Saki that he thought about asking for her opinion after hearing that she has a brother in preschool and that he doesn’t have anyone else to ask. Saki stammers back that since her brother’s a boy, she really doesn’t know about a little girl’s… Akai replies, "Oh, okay…" Saki then suggests that he ask Kokona directly what she wants. He says that if he asks Kokona, she will answer that just being with Ryuu-chan is good enough. Saki thinks to herself that he’s a Lolicon (*someone who’s interested in little girls). Akai says to her, "You’re thinking I’m a Lolicon, right? Saki replies, "Of course not!" while looking guilty. Akai says that it really doesn’t matter and then goes on to tell her that life is full of ups and downs and that one or two setbacks… then he gets a little flustered and says that maybe he’s not saying it right but that you accomplish anything if you remain upbeat. Saki smiles at him and asks if he saw her get rejected. He tells her that he didn’t mean to witness it. She says that it’s her fault for willfully confessing and then getting rejected. Akai responds that it takes a lot of courage to confess and she shouldn’t say that she’s wrong just because she was rejected. Saki stares at him with a stunned look. Akai rubs his head, saying that maybe he said too much. Saki explains that she liked Aoyama for a long time and got to know him better when they were committee members together. When she arrived at the classroom in the morning, he was already there and greeted her so nicely that she thought maybe he felt the same way about her. So that was the reason why she got carried away, confessed, and got rejected. Akai glances over at her and indicates that he understands and that it must have been painful. Saki starts to cry.

Saki is really crying hard as Akai moves away from her slightly. Masaki and Kokona notice and Kokona blames Akai for making Saki cry. Akai denies it, but Masaki demands to know what Akai did to make Saki cry and says that he won’t forgive Akai. Akai again tries to explain, but Kokona slaps him on the cheek and yells that he shouldn’t make excuses. Masaki punches Akai in the groin, screaming "a killer chance!" Akai, bent over and shaking in pain, growls "you two!" and chases after them, while Saki is wiping her tears but still crying. Akai catches the kids and smiles as they laugh while he’s carrying them. Saki thinks to herself that all day she’s felt down about being a real idiot, but thanks to Akai she feels a little bit saved. She really gave it her best shot. Saki sees Akai laughing as each kid dangles on one of Akai's arms. She smiles through her tears. Masaki tells Saki as they walk home that he thinks Ryuu-chan is funny and he likes him. Saki chuckles and says that she likes Akai too. The scary Akai is not scary at all, but a mysterious person.

The next day at school, Saki enters the classroom and sees Aoyama. He smiles at her and tells her good morning. She pauses for a moment and then smiles in relief and tells him good morning back. Her two friends ask her if she’s okay and notice that she looks like she’s in a good mood. Saki responds, "Yes, I’m great." Her friend tells her that she should move on to her next love since the best way to cure a broken heart is to find a new love. Saki wonders about that and then notices Akai sitting in his seat, looking gruff. The other classmates are talking about him, saying that he recently he looks more scary and that they don’t want to get close to him. Saki looks thoughtful. Saki is sitting on the park bench with Akai who talks about a Tamogotchi iD (*handheld digital pet) for Kokona. He went to the toy store and saw a bunch of them, but he couldn’t afford the price. Saki realizes that he looks mad because he’s upset that the toy cost so much. Kokona asks excitedly if she’s going to have a birthday party. She says that she wants to have a party with lots of cake and candy. Akai asks her if she’s okay with just a party and she says that it’s fine. Akai tells her that they can have a party at her house and will let her mom know. Kokona is so happy and invites Masaki to her party. Kokona invites Saki as well. Saki looks over at Akai and wonders if it’s okay. Akai tells her to please come for Kokona’s sake. Saki blushes and agrees to go with a small smile. She thinks that Akai really treasures Kokona. Her friends are shocked that she’s going to a birthday party for Akai’s niece. They can’t understand why she’s not scared of him. Saki tells them that he’s not scary at all, and he’s just a gentle "Lolicon". Saki thinks that even though she doesn’t know about finding a new love, she feels healed when she’s with Akai.

Saki, Akai, and Masaki tell Kokona "Happy Birthday!" as she blows out the candles on her cake. Saki gives Kokona a present from her and Masaki. It's flowers (which Masaki picked out) and Kokona is really happy. Kokona’s mom serves the food and thanks them for coming to the party. She asks Saki if she goes to pick up Masaki every day. Saki replies that she does because both of their parents are busy working. Saki mentions that it looks like Kokona is going to be an older sister soon, and Kokona’s mom pats her belly, laughs and says that they don’t know if it’s a boy or girl yet. She gets up to go and get the drinks, but Akai tells her that he can do it and she should just rest. She retorts that she’s not an invalid. Akai glares at her and tells her, "No. What happens if you fall down? Just sit quietly." Kokona’s mom turns to Saki and makes a face as Akai walks away. She tells Saki that even though he looks like that, he is really kind. Saki laughs and agrees. Kokona’s mom goes on to say that he takes care of Kokona too, and it really helps her out. Saki looks over at Akai who is half-heartedly scolding the two kids for hanging onto his legs while he’s carrying a bottle of juice. Kokona’s mom smiles and says that he’s had a hard time making friends because of the way he looks, but Saki seems to get along well with him. Saki smiles and responds, "Yes!"

Saki and Akai walk down the street, while Masaki sleeps on Akai’s shoulder. Saki apologizes for Masaki not being able to wake up and says that she can carry him. Akai tells her that it’s okay, but Saki looks flustered and tells him that it’s fine to wake him up because their home is far away and he is heavy. Akai responds that Masaki is sleeping so well it would be bad to wake him up and to stop worrying. Saki apologizes. Akai thanks her for coming today because it made Kokona happy. Saki thanks him back for inviting them and says that she had a good time. She tells him that his sister seems nice. Akai says, "Not really. Sometimes she needs a little kick, but now that’s she’s pregnant, she’s obedient." Saki laughs at his comment. Akai says that it’s good that she got married. Saki hopes that his sister has a healthy birth. Then Akai asks her if she’s doing fine. He says that it must be awkward to see Aoyama everyday at school. Saki replies that it’s not like that. She was worried at first, but Aoyama treats her normally, so even though it would be a lie to say that it’s not awkward, it’s really okay. Akai smiles at her nicely and says that she fell in love with a great guy. Saki looks at him, stunned. "Oh, no!" she thinks as tears start to build. She calls his name, and Akai, looking worried, asks if he said something wrong again. Saki tries not to cry as she struggles to tell him that he didn’t say anything wrong, but that he’s… he’s… he’s really great. Akai looks confused as Masaki wakes up and punches Akai in the face, yelling "a killer chance!", and then falls back asleep. Saki wipes her eyes and thinks that Akai’s words have one-by-one warmed her and penetrated the holes in her heart.

Akai finds out that Saki’s family owns a flower shop and the flowers that they gave to Kokona were also from the shop. Saki thanks him for carrying Masaki all the way home. Akai tells her that it’s no problem. As Saki watches him go, she thinks "a new love… huh." and then shouts, "Akai-kun! Thanks!!" Akai stops and turns around with his finger to his mouth, whispering "Shhh. You’ll wake him up." Fortunately, Masaki doesn’t wake up. Akai grins and gives a wave good-bye. Saki smiles and waves back. Saki enters her room and glances over at a picture frame on her desk. It’s a picture of Aoyama smiling at the camera with Saki in the background. She thinks that it’s useless to drag it out forever and turns the picture face down on her desk. It’s time to move forward.
Saki arrives very early to school, carrying flowers. She stops at the classroom when she sees that Aoyama is already there. He’s a little surprised to see her but smiles warmly and says, "Good morning, Momota-san." Saki smiles back and tells him good morning. He mentions that she’s early today and she replies that she wanted to change out the flowers. Aoyama compliments the flowers. Saki asks him if he already did morning practice. He laughs and says that he did a little too much and now he’s sleepy. Saki remembers what Akai told her yesterday that she fell in love with a great guy and realizes that it’s not awkward because Aoyama made it okay. She calls his name and tells him that when she first saw him perform with the drama club (Aoyama in a fish costume, yelling at "his parents" to eat more fish), she fell in love with him. Ever since that show, she dreamt about him every night, acting like the enemy of parents. Aoyama laughs and looks embarrassed. She tells him that he has a lot of good points and that he’s a very attractive person, so the person that he loves will definitely love him back. Saki smiles at him and says that she’s glad that fell in love with him and she hopes everything works out well for him. He happily thanks her. Goodbye, my love, she thinks. She turns to go and change out the water. Aoyama tries to stop her but she bumps into someone and splashes water on their face. It’s Akai again! Akai looks disgruntled as Saki apologizes.

Saki is sitting next to Akai on the park bench. She looks really embarrassed and tells him that she’s sorry for today. Akai, wearing regular clothes (not his uniform), tells her that it’s not a big deal and that he has something to talk to her about. He wants to know what he should get Kokona for Christmas. Saki looks surprised and says that it’s still September. Akai responds that he doesn’t want to fail again, so he’s needs to figure out what to get quickly and be prepared. There’s also the issue of Santa. Until what age, does he pretend to be Santa for her? He knows that one day she will find out that there is no Santa, but he doesn’t want to see her sad. As he’s talking, Saki thinks that it might be hard to love someone like him. He notices that she’s not paying attention and asks if anything is wrong. She says, "No, not really." Masaki and Kokona want Akai to play with them. He tells them okay and stands up. Saki says to wait up, she wants to play too. She trips on a rock and Akai catches her. He tells her to be careful as she steps back and apologizes. The kids tell them to hurry up and Akai goes off to join them. Saki is blushing with her hands on her cheeks, thinking that even though she hadn’t thought about finding a new love, it began on its own, and it’s nothing that anyone can stop. In the background, the kids are telling Akai that they want to slide over there and he says okay. Kokona tells him to come here and when he squats down, she kisses him on the cheek. She tells him that it is thanks for the birthday party. She then tells Masaki that she will give him a thank you kiss, too. He says, "What?" Saki looks bemused and hopes that somehow her next love will go well. The extra chapter ends with Akai telling Kokona that it’s not good to act like a loose girl, and Saki thinking that her rival is Kokona.
