Aoi stares listlessly at the fish that was going at half-price.
“Aoi-chan, the fish is going at half-price, you know.” Wataru comments out loud and startles Aoi-chan. He asks Aoi if anyone went to visit her when she was sick, to which Aoi shook her head and replied no.
On the way back from the supermarket, Wataru suggests to Aoi that they should go star-gazing by bike (Motorcycle); he reveals that he obtained a motorcycle license and that he would rent a bike to head down to the star-gazing spot. Aoi agrees to go with Wataru.
“The best time to view the stars starts from the wee hours and stretches all the way to dawn” Wataru points out, he turns back and hints at Aoi, “You get the meaning? I might pounce on you. “ Aoi lowers her head, her gloomy eyes staring at the ground. She seems a little reluctant, but makes up her mind to go. “No matter what, I want to go see the stars, “ Aoi insists.
Back at home, Aoi recalls the words Wataru said about pouncing on her. She flips through the wardrobe and sees Shuusei’s stuff. “I…have to return them, “She mutters. A flashback of Shuusei’s words appears in her head, “Isn’t he a nice guy, that Sanjou.” Aoi slams the door of the wardrobe with a pained expression.
That guy is only a friend. He’s an important person, but he’s only a friend to me. That’s all.
That was how Aoi saw Wataru, and Shuusei got it all mistaken.
Aoi heads to see stars with Wataru, he asks if Aoi is feeling cold and gave her a back-hug. Aoi is taken aback by the sudden intimacy. “Ah…yeah…” She replies nervously.
“Why are you so tensed up over this? Heh~~~ Did you kinda realized that I am a man?”
Stunned, Aoi hears these words from Wataru, “…Who were you thinking of just now?”
Wataru reveals to her that Shuusei saw him leaving the apartment on the night Aoi caught the flu bug. Aoi grabs Wataru’s hand and says, “ I was thinking of turning towards Sanjou-kun….” Wataru leans even closer, his lips onto Aoi’s woolen cap. “I might misunderstand that sentence you know…” He tries to kiss Aoi, thinking that she might reject him but Aoi looks firmly into his eyes, “…I do not dislike it at all.”
“I’m taking that you mean that you do not mind going out with me,” Aoi stands up and takes off her outer jacket, revealing only her inner camisole. She leans in, attempting to kiss Wataru.
Wataru realizes that Aoi was putting up a front, that she’s doing all of this even though her feelings for Shuusei were so obvious. Aoi’s façade crumbles and she screams, “It’s not like that…!!”
Wataru sees Aoi’s pained expression, and wipes her tears off. “Even though I am aware I can bring much more happiness to you than he could…” He asks Aoi, “Do you know why…Kugayama-kun rejected your feelings for him?”
“During the Cultural Festval, I heard it from Eri-san, that the two of them shared something in the past. She wouldn’t divulge anything further than that, so I thought I should find out more about Kugayama-kun from you. It turns out…that the person you want him to turn around…wasn’t me at all.”
Aoi makes her feelings known to Wataru, “ I want to come to like him. “ Wataru knows and he tells Aoi, “The more I tell myself to give it up, the more I find myself liking you. It was extremely painful for me. Even so…I was glad Aoi-chan turned around to look at me. Let’s head home.”
Meanwhile, Shuusei is hitting on the staff at the house rental store. He is there with Satsuki, and with his charms, he manages to clinch an extremely low price without having to pay any additional administration charges. After haggling, Shuusei reverts back to his quiet self. Satsuki thanks him for helping her find a cheap place to stay. Shuusei asks Satsuki, “…So, what do I have to do next?”
Satsuki grabs Shuusei by the arm and asks, “…I want you to live in with me.”
