Finally, the long awaited Tokyo Collection Show is about to begin. Anxiety is flooding the hearts of the audience and spectators. The backstage is as busy as ever with on-going preparations at every corner.
Yui is in her booth getting ready with her makeup. She was in deep thoughts about what her mother had said earlier ‘the campaign in which you’ll be appearing has put your name on hold’’. ‘If things continue the way it is, I’m going to lose to Aki….and I don’t want that. Not to Aki!’
The show finally begun and everyone’s long awaited model, Yui made her appearance on stage and rock the crowd. ‘She’s so pretty!! She looks perfec!! Stunning!!, the audience cheered for her. ‘I’m not over yet. I still have it in me,’ thought Yui.
Meanwhile, Aki was getting ready to make her first appearance on the show. Aki indeed has the talent in her to be a super model but Yui would not give up so easily either. Soon, the show came to its finale and the top model, Yui made another appearance with Kaz’s final product. However, before the show came to its end, there was another surprise. The announcer called upon Aki who was made to bring forward Kaz’s finest piece of work. The crowd was dazzled. Yui thought the spotlight had been taken off from her and she accidentally stepped on her dress and tripped.
The show was over and Kaz came over to Aki congratulating her on a wonderful success. Yui on the other hand bumped into the producer of the Tokyo Collection and apologized for the mistake she made on stage. ‘It’s alright. The sponsors were really happy with the show. The fall was at a perfect timing.’ Yui was overly shocked to hear that. ‘So… that’s what It’s about. Nobody cared.’
Yui decided to leave the arena. She was in tears. Just when she was about to exit, she saw Kazuki… ‘Where are you crying?’ asked Kazuki to Aki. Apparently, Aki was already in the hall way and she too was crying. Her tears were tears of over joy. Kazuki gave his compliments to Aki’s hard work. ‘You’ll definitely be a great model,’ said Katsuki. ‘Really? I’m so happy to hear that!’ replied Aki before she launch forward and wrapped her arms around Katsuki. Yui walked away and somehow Katsuki felt a presence just left. Aki told Katsuki about Yui’s fall and was worried about her.
On the other hand, Yui receives an interview from the press. She put on a strong smile regardless of what had happened. The following day at work, the staffs were talking about Yui’s coverage on the magazines and how she had nailed the Tokyo Collection really well. However, Yui knew deep inside it was not true. She had lost, lost something her mother holds most precious, her mother’s dream.
Yui’s mother was in her office, reading about the Aki’s talent, recognized by world’s expert in the modeling industry. She couldn’t wait a moment longer and called the CM company. ‘I’d like to know who’s the appropriate model you would pick to represent your commercial?.... Between Niizato Yui and Yanagida Aki’
