Kumegawa is reading news about Minami high`s baseball club position and comments there`s nothing to brag about comming to best 4 teams.

Nina is having a good time with her friends, talking about their school`s team winning in the match. One girls yells that she will definitely go to chear the match if Kyo manages to get his  team to Koshien. Other girl asks where is Koshien and if it is Hyougo prefecture is it far away. Then they ask Nina will she go together with school to cheer for them. She says she wonders if they really will be able to win, cause they have to win another two times before that. They aren`t giving that opinion a chance but change the topic asking her is she`s geting along with Miyake. She says they are, but they can`t see each other every day like they used to in middle school so she is lonelly sometimes, then she becomes embarrassed so they ask her what was she remembering when she blushed that hard and if she and Miyake finally did it, but she insists right away they didn`t, then she calms down and says that they are all right. All girls are amused by the story and one girl asks her why doesn`t she ask Miyake to come with her to Koshien cause that way there will be only them, dating each other and spending the night together. She screams that it won`t be happening and friend teases her that didn`t she just said she was lonelly.

As she left the „party“ she received a mail from Miyake saying he just finished with club so he will be waiting for her at school gate. She thinks to herself that everybody said such weird things she became so nervous even though it is only a date. She reached the gate and is waiting for him when the annoying girl comes greeting her as „Shun`s girlfriend“. She introduces herself as Nishikawa Kaori and says she is in the same basket ball club as Miyake. Then she comments how Shun is making her wait for him and asks if she should call for him. Nina says it`s fine, she can wait. Then she lifted her hand on purpose so Nina can see she has Miyake`s wrist band and says she tought Shun would fly here if he knows his girlfriend came. Nina is shocked by what she just saw and wonders if it is the same or the one she gave to Miyake. To make matter worse, Miyake comes calling her by name „ Kaori“ and asking if she has his wristband. She fakes good girl saying his girlfriend came. He greets Nina with Uemura, but she is still shocked wondering why does she have his band. Kaori waves them bye saying she`s in the way here. He apologizes to Nina for making her wait during this hot weather but she says she just came so she`s fine. She puts a fake smile and thinks how he didn`t even notice he`s back to Uemura with her. Miyake asks her what`s the matter but she is in her own world  remembering her friend`s words to deepen their bond, and saying nothing bad can happen cause she already is feeling lonelly. He asks her to go eat something but she wants to try asking him after all what her friend told her. She asked him if by chance Kyo manages to go to Koshien will he come together with her and stay over night. She continues that since it is about Kyo, her father wouldn`t probably mind and wonders what is he thinking at same time cause his facial expression really changed. He shortly replies that he probably can`t cause he has clubs every day and turns around but when he looks back at her she is looking really sad saying that he`s right, cause he has club activities, but tears start to dropping down her face. Then she becomes angry saying he is really an idiot for giving the wrist band to that girl and calling her by name and runs away. Kaori appears asking if they had a fight and commenting how Nina is really short temperd but Miyake is now also mad asking her when did she take it and demanding to give him back the band. she says he doesn`t have to make such a scary face but he said not to do it again cause it is his precious thing.

Nina is upset reminiscing about their argue on the balcony when she hears Kyo came home. Kyo asks her what is she doing and she smiles congratulating him for achieving so much and says they need to win just 2 more to go to Koshien and she will come to cheeer. He of course figures out something`s wrong so he asks her if something happend and if they had a fight. She tells him it`s not a big deal, but she didn`t know it can be so frustrating not being able to see each other etc.. Then he asks her doesn`t she think it is same on the other side as well, and says that he thinks that for Miyake that feeling is nothing new to begin with, and he walks inside to room, leaving Nina surprised cause she probably figured out how she didn`t think about Miyake.

It`s the baseball game, Nina is watching but while others are nervous cause other team is catching up with score she remembers Kyo asking her doesn`t she think Miyake feels the same way. She wonders if Miyake also felt like this for a long time, as he was watching her all that time. She has an urge to see him and to apologize to him so she gets up and runs to find him, but bumps into 2 guys. When they notice she`s from Minami high they start to tease her that they should go together to watch and cheer for the team. She tells them she has to go somewhere, but they are not letting her go. Then Miyake comes to save the day, saying „ please don`t touch my girlfriend.“

Nina asks him how come he is here since he has club activity, but he answers he knew they are cheering for their team so he left early. Then looking at her he tells her to try to get a picture , and as he huggs her he continues that even though he told her they can talk about Kyo, he certainly isn`t happy to listen about some other guy. She nodds like she understands that, he continues that being touched by another man also makes him irritated. She nodds again. Finally, he says that he wants to make memmories of only two of them and not cheering for somebody. She nodds, crying in his arms. Meanwhile, Kyo was being a star of the game, and while they`re kissing he scored a point.

During the break everybody`s happy, and one guy tells Kyo that they are finally entering finals and it shouldn`t be hard to win if they play like they usually do. Kumegawa comes teasing them what`s with all that team spirit since they played so poor and not even close to how he almost on his own entered finals 3 years ago. Yuiko interrupts teasing Kumegawa that it must be vexing then for such a cool him not being able to play in Koshien. She continues that this year they will definitely go to Koshien and even she herself on the bench. While Kumegawa stares at her in shock,  Kyo tells him that he will give his best, but Kumegawa turns frustrated and tells him he is really irritated by him, leaving Kyo surprised. Yuiko without looking at him calls out to Kyo telling him they should win no matter what.

Back to Nina and Miyake, he asks her if it is ok to sit there with him and not with her class, but she tells him that they can cheer from anywhere. She complains how he is calling her again by surname and he answers she is doing the same. she tells him that it`s awkward and he agrees.

The match continues from break and everybody`s cheering, well accept Kumegawa who is still mad, and Miyake tells her that next year `s summer he will call her by name without being embarrassed.

„Lot of things happend, and now, you are next to me.“

Chapter starts with Kyo playing baseball all seriously, and next scene, Nina is talking on the phone, about how amazing it is that their baseball club is among 8 best clubs. Apparently she is talking to Miyake who asks her if they will go to quarterfinals and she says it looks like it. She says she didn`t go personaly, but teacher that did see it said it was very exciting so she asks him if he wants to go together if they find time for it, since the summer break starts soon. Miyake agrees, and Nina continues how she wants to see him through the break and play a lot and go to the festival and pool etc. Miyake laughs and says he also feels like that.

“This is the first summer vacation since high school started..."

Nina asks him if he will be busy with his club activity, and then his classmates came into the classroom asking him why is he grinning like that and teasing him it must be his girlfriend, so Miyake tells her he`ll send her a mail. However, Nina asks him if he remembers what she said, she wanted to give him something, and he says she`ll give him when they meet next time and hangs up what makes her look a little bit confused.

Miyake is meeting with his friends from middle school, and they are very happy cause it's been a while. Miyake tells them that they are mailing each other but they say it`s not the same as to meet each other. and they fired up at him a million questions about Nina, such as, are they finally doing fine and are they talked out everything about Tachibana. He says everythings fine and that they did talk about it very naturally and she smiled at him. As he blushes from ebarrassement he says she was very cute. He apologizes to them for torturing them with his love stories, but they say that they actually  want to ask him something and as they apologize beforehand they ask him if he already slept with Nina. Miyake brushed them off saying there was no chances for that until now and they tease him that it`s about time to make appropriate situations, especially since summer vacation is starting.

Kyo is finishing his practice and in dressing room he finds lots of cards in his bag. Other team mate comments how he got many encouraging cards for their next match. Kyo thinks how there was none before the practice so they must have been opening his bag by themselves and wonders if he should think of some counter measures for that. Then suddenly a cute 1st year calls out to him, named Matsumoto Maiko, confessing to him. She continues that if he wonders what was she attracted at , it was his face and body. Kyo is stunned and wondering that it was face and body, then interrupts her apologizing that he`s in the middle of the practice and as he starts running away she yells to him asking  if he doesn`t remember her, cause she was with Uemura at that time when he was giving them lessons last year. He stops and looks back so she continues that she was really stupid until entering middle school but when she saw him practicing and giving his best on the ground he looked so cool that she decided she will also give her best to enter Minami high. She continues she didnt`t come to ask him on a date, but to thank him for inspiring her to give her best, because as she was watching him all this time she knows that he already has a person that he likes. As he looks at her an image of Nina crosses his mind and says he does. Then he smiles and thanks her for her words. she thanks him for listening to her and waves him goodbye. Yuiko comes saying he should have decided to date her afterall, cause there was another one like this recently and also she hears that he has stalkers. She asks him if that distractes him from his practice and he says it doesn`t and that is not good to lie anymore.

Then she asks him what does he think, for example, if they win this game, and go to Koshien, will Nina`s feeling change for him. He replies in instant that that is unlikely.

Behind them, girls surrounding Maiko yells that Kyo must be a gay for ditching such cute girl as Maiko. She tries to convince them otherwise, but they are already gossiping how one girl saw him and Kumegawa (Yuiko's ex) on last year`s cultural festival staring at each other (haha LOL).

Behind them Kyo and Yuiko are standing and listening all that, so Yuiko asks him if maybe he wants to date her after all and he replies that he really should perhaps think about that.

Next to Kumegawa, he`s reading news how their club is among 8 best clubs and thinking if now some girl will fall in love with him.

Nina is happilly saying to Miyake that Minami high won quarterfinals, and praises Kyo for his cool play, but Miyake puts a fake smile to that. He comments how she doesn`t need to be so ecstatic and when she asks him what did he saiy he says nothing really. Then he changes the topic saying it was a while since he was in her room and asks if her mom is at home. Nina says she thought she will be but she had to go out. She says she has something to give him and he suddenly blushes as he recalls conversation he had earlier with his friends and stats blabbing how they said something unnecessary and how there will be lots of chances during this summer vacation which makes Nina really confused what is he talking about and interrupts him saying to sit down cause she wants to give him that Christmas present. He is stunned since its not his birthday but she says its Christmas present cause she didn`t give him last year. It`s an arm band. She said she wanted to give him earlier but since lots af things happend on that day and she didn`t want to remember that it turned out like this. He was so emotional about this that she asks him if he doesn`t need it, but he just pulls her in for a kiss. He says he loves her and pulls her for another one. She asks him to wait, cause she`s not prepared yet but he answers with desperate face he is waiting from last years Christmas and that he waited long enough. As he continues she looks like she accepted him as well but then Keisuke bursts in the room interrupting them. He happily yells they should play basket ball and Nina says she also wants to play mimicking to Miyake she`s sorry. She thinks to herself she thinks she really became an idiot and that she loves him so much and wants to see him every day. At school she is still thinking about it. Since it is a last day of shool, girls ask her if she has plans and she says she has something to do. she thinks  that even though Miyake probably has clubs she still wants to go since its last day. As she gets close to Konan high she thinks to herself how there are really cute girl in that school. Then she hears someone calling Miyake by his name,  Shun. It is a girl from his class. they are planing where to go since there was no clubs anymore but Miyake saw Nina`s mail and said he already has plans. Then that annoying girl calls him by his name again saying he`s going too far thinking only about his girlfriend but then they are all shocked to see Nina standing there listening them.

As they walk home together Nina is giving Miyake kind of cold shoulder so he asks her if something happend. She shrugs it off, that nothing happend, but still didn`t convince him. She comments how Miyake is called Shun by them what makes him really embarrassed.  She thinks to herself how now Miyake is troubled but she can`t help feeling frustrated and besides they have such a long history. Then he suddenly calls her by her name, Nina and she blushes even harder. He tells her to call him by his name, too.  And so she calls him Shun. Miyake`s friends are commenting how Miyake is in love and how Nina is cute, but the bad girl says she's is nothing special.  

"This is a first summer since we entered highschool.. it looks like lots of things will happen during summer."

ch 38  What is the conclusion of Nina`s love?

It is graduation day. Everyone is emotional and Nina`s friend is reminding them to continue to hang out together. She hugs her saying that she can`t believe that they will no longer go to this school together. Nina is thinking that it is the last day and as she sees Miyake with his friends she feels that she will not be able to say what she wanted. However, she can't help running towards him yelling his name but is stopped by his two friends who asked her what she plans to do when she meets Miyake. They tell her that after they broke up, even though he may laugh,  he is actually in pain  and after this day, he could finally break away from her. After they leave, Nocchan asks her if she`s alright, but Nina kept thinking about their break up and seems very desperate. At this moment, Kyo appeared and asks her what she is doing. She looks at him sadly and he tells her that he knows that she has important things to say to Miyake. After seeing how hesitant she is, he tells her that she had properly talked to him earlier, so she should also be able to do the same to Miyake. Then Asou came along and offers to lend them her bike. Miyake and his friends are going home hurriedly and Miyake asks why. His friends said that they have to a lot of preparations to do.  Suddenly, Miyake hears someone calling his name. He turns around and is surprised to see Kyosuke & Nina. Kyosuke is riding the bike, with Nina behind him. Nina is desperately yelling at Miyake. Kyo again urges Nina to tell him everything. Nina says she has to, because she knows she will regret it later if she doesn't. Kyo bids them goodbye and leaves. He thinks about their recent conversation and how she had said she`ll regret it if she doesn`t say what she has to say. He then turns back to find Nina looking at him gratefully with tears brimming in her eyes. He knows he could never hate her. Instead, he really loves her so he went back pushed her towards Miyake.  Everybody is shocked at the drama. 

As Kyo leaves again, Nina starts saying: ''Kyo is a special person , we have always together since childhood times and he will always be ....''. Miyake friend interrupts her by exclaiming what the hell is she here for, & to say such things to Miyake even after they asked her not to. But she ignores them and continues saying: ''that Christmas, I became aware of Kyo`s feelings and I was shaken, but I still couldn`t erase it“. She pulls out the piece of paper where Miyake had drawn a sketch of her with a remark ''she's not happy“.  Miyake is embarrassed and asks her why is she still holding on to that paper. She tells him that she is happy that Miyake has always  watched over her and the night after their first kiss, she couldn`t sleep at all. When he told her, while hugging her, he doesn`t want to separate from her, she was thinking that she didn't want too. Now Miyake`s friend are embarassed. Nina continues that it was Miyake who had made her laugh when she was ''not happy“. (she is probably referring to the time of break up as he had said she should go where she can laugh, and he meant Kyo, but now she is saying that Miyake is the one). Finally she asks him if he will be with her once again. (In the meantime, the two friends of Miyake left).

Now the two lovebirds are alone and Miyake speaks: ''Please stop.. I already said that nothing matters as long as Uemura is smiling. I thought it doesn`t matter who Uemura is with, as long as she is smiling, but  (he covers his blushing face) I guess what I want the most is Uemura smiling at me“. The crying Nina advances towards him but he tells her to stop and to stop looking at him as well. She ignores him, saying: ''there is still one thing I didn`t say,“ and as she hugs him, she says: ''I love you!“.

It`s the first day of school and Kyo and Keisuke are waiting for Nina. Keisuke urges her to hurry up saying it`s not cool to be late for the entrance ceremony. He teases her saying she probably couldn`t sleep because she is nervous. She denies that saying she is late because she doesn`t know how to put on a tie. At this moment, she gets a mail and makes a cute face. It is from Miyake saying it is the day of the entrance ceremony and that he had problems with the tie. “It`s difficult, right?!“. She types the reply and comments that she would like to attach a photo. Kyo says he can take it for her, but she says she`ll do it herself. Keisuke yells at them to hurry for the start of the new school term!  And so the story ends with a warm happy ending! :)

TnA 37   Mutual love and unrequited love

Chapter begins with Nina walking through the school hallway.  There is a commotion surrounding Miyake as people are congratulating Miyake for making it to Konan highschool. Nina approaches the the crowd and the situation grew awkward as Miyake notices her. A girl from their class, who was also aiming for Konan High greets Nina and tells her that they had made it to go to Konan High. Nina was somewhat reserved but then she broke out into a smile and congratulates them. They appear to be confused by her expression but then they smiled back and thanked her. Nina tells Miyake that she will also work hard in to get into Minami high and then she walks away gloomily. Miyake`s friends try to change the topic back to congratulating him but he is still staring at Nina.

Nina is walking in the park and studying her history text(Ounin era 1467 y) when somebody cuts in. It is Yuiko playing baseball. Yuiko apologizes for the tossed ball as she was practicing long throws and the ball slipped out of control . Nina thinks to herself how amazing it is for a school girl to continue to practice after school and so she asks if she is  alone. She said she is because she wanted to gather her thoughts and asks Nina to join her. Yuiko is playing with all her might and Nina couldn't really catch up. She asks Yuiko issn`t she putting in too much feelings into the game and Yuiko tells her that it`s boring if she doesn't inject feelings in. She also teases Nina that since she was taught by Kyosuke she should be able to handle this game well. Nina starts trembling and says softly that if she can start throwing the ball. Then Yuiko suddenly asks if she and Kyosuke had talked. Nina was about to answer when Yuiko aims a strong ball at her, making her scream with fright. Yuiko remarks that she`s such a weak girl and then starts yelling at how she envies her because all the men that she likes reciprocates her love. On the other hand, it didn't work out well for Yuiko. Nina is surprised by Yuiko`s outburst, and Yuiko continues that she gets irritated by just looking at her. Now she`s crying and saying that she is so jelaous and doesn`t even want to look at her. Nina then calmly tells her that she had misunderstood the situation, and this makes Yuiko even angrier so Yuiko starts talking about Kyosuke`s feelings for Nina. However, Nina interrupts her and says that there is no mutual love, but again, she had started a one-sided love. (!!!!! J!!!!!!!)

Finally it`s the day of the high school entrance examinations. Nina is leaving her house and her mom is asking her if she has everything with her. Her dad assures her that it's fine if she doesn't get into Minami High. As she steps out, she sees Kyo waiting at his door front with some encouraging words. He says her that she had worked hard so ought to be calm and it will be alright. The test ends and Nina`s dad is frantically calling her mom to know the results. She tells him to stop yelling and that she just spoke to Nina...... (leaving us  curious about the outcome). On the other hand, Nina is crossing over to Kyosuke's room via the balcony. Kyo catches her while commenting on the danger. She tells him that starting from April, they can go to the same school again. Kyo happily asks her if she really got into Minami high and she says yes, she has the result. They stare at each other for a moment and then Kyo starts confessing but Nina interrupts him saying she has always loved Kyo. All her memories are about Kyo. He has always been there for her, and she feels very comfortable with him. However, she didn`t understand the real meaning of love and she had hurt him unknowingly. She bursts into tears apologizing repeatedly. Kyo hugs her with a smile and also confesses that he has always loved her but is sorry for hurting her and making her cry. At the end, he says that he will let her go but please stay for a while.

'Kyo chose the high school nearby because of me..“. As she realizes this, she became embarrassed and an image of Miyake flashes through her head leaving her confused. She suddenly changes her facial expression and so did Kyo. which means that he could have figured out, that she`s uncertain what to think anymore.

Kyo suddenly draws Nina into his arms and tells her that he`s sorry for causing more troubles on top of her own, but he wants her to listen to what he has to say after her exams. The scene changes to the park, where Nina is hanging out with her friend, Na chan.  Na chan tells Nina that she had thought she and Miyake will meet, but it seems like a lie. Nina says that he had clearly said, with a smile ''let`s break up“. Na chan asks her if the reason why she accepted the breakup was because of Tachibana senpai. Nina recalls Kyo hugging her and answers she doesn`t know. She begins to cry and her friend comforts her saying that she knows Nina had liked Tachibana senpai for a long time. At this moment, Keisuke passes by and greets Nina saying he`s returning home from school. Then he notices Na chan and he says that he`ll come back with some sweets.  As he runs home, she yells to him to be careful. Na chan comments on how lively Keisuke is. She also says she noticed that Nina calls Tachibana senpai ''Kyo-chan“ but Keisuke kun, just ''Keisuke“.

In the next scene, Nina's mum asks Nina where she's going and she replies nonchalantly that she is just taking a walk. As she goes down the stairs, she reminiscises about the time when Keisuke was born. Little Nina was fascinated by how cute Keisuku was and told his mum that she will call him Kei-chan. Than Kyo came along with a toy. He calls his brother ''Keisuke“ from then on, Nina also calls Keisuke ''Keisuke'' .

She continues walking and arrives at the temple, commenting to herself this is the second time she`s here. She was here with Kyo this year and last. Memories of the past surfaced again. There was once when she came here with Kyo & Keisuke. At that time, Kyo was taking the examinations to enter high school and Nina said that she has a secret plan for him to pass. She continues that she will donate 50 yen this year, instead of the usual 5 yen.  Suddenly, she dropped the coins and the people around her commented that it is a bad omen because she will soon lose everything.  ''How pitiful'' they say... Nina panicked and desperately began picking up the coins, while crying and apologizing to Kyo. However, he says that it is alright and inserted one coin into the pocket, saying that it will not fall from there.

Back to the present, Nina realizes that she all of her memories are about Kyo. As she continues walking and thinking about Kyo, Miyake also surfaced in her mind. She started crying as she thought about how Miyake had said he loves her. She then took out the paper where Miyake had drawn her face and written ''she's not fine''. She wonders if he will be angry that she made a copy. As she thinks about Miyake, she tells herself that he will probably not, but will be surprised and ask her why she has it. He will ultimately blush and the thought of him being embarassed actually makes her smile.

She passes by those wishing charms when suddenly one with a sketch like her catches her attention.  That charm was written by Miyake wishing her success in entering Minami high school and to be always happy. She then recalls the night where he had hugged her on the stairs near her house saying he`ll make her happy so she should date him.  He broke out in a blush and said that it's fine and then he passionately kissed her. After the kiss, he asked her if they should head home. Suddenly, she stops for a second and calls out his name. She says that she is really happy right now and this made Miyake blush again. He gave her a light kiss on the cheek and they laugh together afterwards.

Miyake`s words  ''I will make you happy..“ , ''Go to where you will be happy...it's fine'' echo in her head, and she starts crying.....
